YOUR JOURNEY, AT YOUR RHYTHM

What to discover in Morocco

Cities and coast: choose Marrakesh with an extension to Essaouira, or Casablanca and Rabat as a separate group. Check transport and allow time for medinas, museums and breaks; you do not need to join all eight suggestions.

North or desert: consider Tangier, Chefchaouen and Fez according to your connections and available days. For Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, plan a separate stage with confirmed transfers and accommodation; the distances make the whole country unsuitable as a day trip from a single base.

How to choose the stages of your Morocco trip

These eight suggestions are spread across cities, coast, mountains and desert. Choose one or two areas according to your available days and connections; they are editorial alternatives rather than a continuous tour with transfers included.

Plan each change of base

Check which connections actually serve each place. Trains, buses and road transfers have different coverage; confirm tickets, departure and arrival points, and the final leg to your accommodation.

Set aside a stage for the desert

Merzouga and Erg Chebbi require access and activities to be arranged separately. Review the weather, route conditions and what the booked service includes; an accommodation reservation does not automatically include a dune excursion.

Respect sites and check requirements

Check admission conditions for monuments and religious spaces, and ask permission before photographing people. Before booking, verify current entry requirements for your passport and route with the relevant authorities.
