What to see and do in Mérida, Chichén Itzá and Uxmal
Three different days for museums and archaeological cities.
Use Mérida as a base if it fits your route and organize a different outing for each archaeological zone: Chichén Itzá is to the east and Uxmal to the south. The Great Museum of the Mayan World is in the north of the city; Don't chain all three places in a single day.
Duration, budget and itinerary: editorial suggestions adjustable to your trip. No prices or availability in real time.

PLACES AND EXPERIENCES
What to do in Mérida, Chichén Itzá and Uxmal Mayan culture
heritage
Chichén Itzá Archaeological Zone
The Kukulkan Castle, the squares and complexes of the ancient city allow you to get closer to the Mayan heritage. The daytime tour is different from the nighttime show and other special tours.
Activities for your visit
- Contemplate The Castle from authorized areas.
- Tour the main open complexes.
Tips for this place
- Do not climb monuments or cross barriers.
- Prepare sun protection for open areas.
Reserve the INAH federal right for daytime visits. Admission combines this right and a Yucatan state fee, with exemptions according to category. Confirm both concepts before paying: a federal ticket alone may not cover the total. Kukulkan Nights have a separate sale.

Activities for your visit
- Observe the reliefs of the authorized buildings.
- Tour the open sets of the site.
Tips for this place
- Check access restrictions to structures.
- Reserve time for the transfer to the south of Mérida.
Reserve the federal INAH right and also check the admission of the state hostel CULTUR for your category. Do not assume that the purchase of the INAH right covers the entire visit; guides, parking and night experiences are managed separately.
